How do I take care of my Jewellery
Sterling Silver Jewellery : The A-Z on cleaning & Maintenance
Sterling Silver
Sterling silver is a blend of metals. It is usually composed of fine silver and other alloys.(7.5% copper) All of our Jewellery is stamped 925 which means it its has a 92.5% make up of silver. Sterling silver pieces are loved for their affordability and flexibility but the presence of other metals can mean that they tarnish a little easier
Keep your silver jewellery away from...
Household Chemicals- Even somthing as simple as doing the dishes can expose your silver pieces to chemicals. Chemicals can be hard- wearing on your silver
Moist Areas- Humidity can react with copper in sterling silver and cause it to tarnish.
Chlorinated water- Remove jewellery when showering, swimming or going anywhere with chlorinated water
Direct sunlight- sunlight can cause silver to tarnish
Cosmetics- Silver may also have a reaction left around certain cosmetics. To be on the safe side you should keep silver clear of lotions, hair products, perfumes and other elements

How To Maintain Your Jewellery
There are many silver cleaners out there but there are also lots of homemade methods you can use
For our Jewellery we recommend using warm soapy water with a gentle brush to clean your silver and protect against any damage to your gemtsone/crystal. Dry thoroughly and polish with the polishing cloth provided in your order. Alternatively you can have your jewellery cleaned by a professional jeweller.
